ABOUT US

Platform for the People.

Shoot the Breeze is a magazine rooted in Oklahoma City, created to amplify voices, challenge narratives, and build community through storytelling. We believe good stories don’t just entertain — they connect, provoke, and empower.

Founded by Brandon Tellez, an Air Force veteran with a background in media, design, and public engagement, this magazine blends journalism, art, and local culture into one cohesive space. Every issue is carefully curated to explore topics that matter — from education and mental health to art, music, and identity — while shining a light on the individuals driving change in their communities.

At its core, Shoot the Breeze is about intentional conversation. We’re not here to follow trends. We’re here to ask better questions, listen deeper, and share stories that feel both personal and universal. Whether it’s a feature on an underground artist, an investigation into Oklahoma’s education system, or a reflection on healing and anger — each piece is crafted with care, honesty, and a desire to engage.

This isn’t just a magazine. It’s a living, breathing reflection of the people who read it, create it, and are transformed by it.

We’re a veteran-owned company that believes in HONESTY, POSITIVITY and EDUCATION.
